The definition states that it is a gradual increase of stress placed upon the body during exercise training. The Lactate Threshold (also known as anaerobic threshold) is the point at which blood lactate begins to rise above baseline levels during exercise. It’s considered a good predictor of endurance performance due it representing a point at which the rate of lactate formation exceeds its use. Though Lactate production is necessary when performing higher intensity, it also appears to be a marker for other processes muscle that are the real culprits of fatigue. Since the speed or power at which the lactate threshold occurs is related to exercise performance improvements in the lactate threshold can lead to improved race performance. It’s known that in elite endurance athletes the lactate threshold tends to occur at a higher percentage of their VO2max meaning that elite athletes are able to compete at a higher percentage of their VO2max, and hence a faster speed or power output. Train for strength and power. As you lift more weight and move that weight faster, we adapt and overcome the problem in front of us. Lighter intensities, when compared to maximum capabilities then “feel” easier which allows us to conserve energy and continue repeating high force/power activities. So now, don’t sacrifice your time training strength and power in the name of training conditioning when you can accomplish all three at once.

Just another average update I suppose😁 _ Machine seated row _ Quite like this movement at the moment really making my own with the D-HANDLES to free that wrist mobility up & the FOAM ROLLER for that extra range of movement💡 _ It’s funny what you can do with a machine or exercise when you have limited equipment! _ 3 sets on this bad boy today ! _ ▪️first set: 75kg - 10 + 2 reps added _ ▪️ second set: 72kg - 13 + 1 rep added _ ▪️ third set: 66kg - 15 = same as last week ! _ Good performance all round !
