Late night snack ideas! 🚨 Follow vatcheshakarian for daily fat loss tips ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Getting hungry late at night is annoying. Rather than reaching for the nearest, most convenient food, here are some options. I often recommend you consume ~30-40 g per meal. But having some snacks without protein is totally cool as long as you hit your total daily protein intake and make sure you are satiated. Just remember not to add additional food if you have already hit your food intake targets for the day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What is our favorite snack? Let me know in the comments. Too often people complicate little aspects of working out/ dieting! Anyone will say something, just to be a little unique, because it gets attention. These fitness personalities are horrible about it. I have heard so many unnecessary "fitness tips." It only complicates things, and makes it more confusing for people! . . I have listed some of the silly tips I have heard along the way. These all have to do with meal timing, or workout timing. The biggest point I want to make with this post is these factors have very little (if any at all) impact on your progress. It doesn't matter when you eat! Some will tell you there is an optimal time to eat, after your workout. While this may be true, the difference is not significant enough to worry about it. Just eat whenever you want! I always suggest a protein shake after working out, simply because it's super convenient, and gets you much closer to your protein goals! . . Next is workout timing! This one is totally based on the person. I have heard some trainers tell people to never workout in the mornings, because you won't have as much energy!? That's completely false! Workout timing is whatever works for your schedule. Again, simplicity is a massive factor, in maintaining a diet, or workout! 𝘈𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧?⁣ ⁣ Do you track food Monday through Friday and then feel as if you can reward yourself over the weekend? Guess what you're killing your progress!⁣ ⁣ Eating out generally means super calorie dense food as restaurants will add more than what's needed to make it as tasty as possible 😱⁣ ⁣ Let's use the table above as an example:⁣ ⁣ 🔸 If at maintenance calories are 2000 then that would equate to 14000 calories a week to maintain your weight.⁣ ⁣ 🔸 If we decide to enter a 200 calorie deficit per day for the duration of the week, we are now eating 1800 x 7 = 12600 calories. This SHOULD cause us to lose weight.⁣ ⁣ 🔸 If we decide to eat 1800 calories for the work week then treat ourself to a 3000 calorie Saturday and Sunday.. We are now all of a sudden at a whopping 15000 calories!!!⁣ ⁣ Are things starting to make sense? Your net total goes up when having weekend blow outs while also inhibiting weight loss and making everything you do during the work week irrelevant.⁣ ⁣ Want to treat yourself over the weekend? If you’ve been working out for 1 hour +, doing endless amounts of cardio, or hitting the gym with no plan you wasting your time! You might as well stay home because its clear you do not value your time at all. I remember I would be in the gym for 1 to 1hr 30min when I first started in the gym doing weight training and then ending with cardio and maybe, just maybe hitting an ab workout. The ab workout was rare. Now that I’ve avoided these 3 obvious mistakes, I’ve increased my energy, lost more fat, and actually workout less! You need to be working out smarter not harder. These 3 mistakes are holding you back from showing up in the gym , feeling more accomplished for the day, and getting actual results. Well, that depends on your goal. Macros are Protein, Carbs and Fat. Everything you eat is made up of them. The proportion of each can either be helpful or detrimental to your goal. Whether you want to get bigger or smaller your calorie intake has to match. To be smaller, you have to eat less than you burn. To get bigger, you have to eat more than you burn⁠ .⁠ 1 gram of protein has 4 calories 🍗⁠ .⁠ 1 gram of carbs has 4 calories 🥖⁠ .⁠ 1 gram of fat has 9 calories 🥑⁠ .⁠ The macros here are just general guidelines to help you plan out your nutritional intake. I LOVE crunch wraps. I took a break from them after finishing 2 whole bags of cutdacarb 😂😂😂 and then..... the crave for one was SO REAL. I defrosted my third (and last 😭😭) bag so I could fulfill my desire hahah. Simply done, cooked up a frozen turkey patty from heb , then put it on a paper towel to soak up excess moisture. As it rested, I got the cut da carb out and pulled one sheet from the package, sealed and put back in the fridge right away. Moving quickly as to not dry the wrap out, I put two wedges of HEB brand laughing cow pepper jack cheese, put the patty on, topped with (apparently too much) arugula, sugar free ketchup and mustard. Folded the carb wrap and then put face down in a frying pan with avocado oil sprayed in it to seal the wrap. Transferred to the air fryer and did 5 min to give it the nice all around golden brown. While I was doing all that I’d had delicata squash in the air fryer for 15 min. This entire meal WILL be happening again tomorrow 😍😍😍😍

With festivities coming up next week, I know how hard it can be, when you are trying to better yourself physically, mentally and in a healthy way... how nerve racking it can be to go into an event. I am here to tell ya, to enjoy that dang event, with no guilt at all! With that, I also want to share what I do leading up to event days and then day of (briefly). Drop below any tips you have! Simply put, leading up to the holiday, like Thanksgiving, I follow my normal plan! That excitement and busy-ness is real, but we can totally stick to our same routine! With that, I always make sure I have protein prepped for the week! Like some tasty marinated chicken! During the event day, I act like it’s a normal day, until that event. Then, I ALWAYS bring a slow assimilating protein shake WITH ME! I tend to grab for a lot of carbs + fats (and more than likely you do too) so my protein shake ensure I will be getting in my 3rd macro, protein. After, I ensure I help my digestion with some of my quality greens + digestive enzymes (not all have the same blends and not are guaranteed to help with digestion). That’s it! I have no anxiety about the event, what I am going to eat or drink, I go and enjoy friends and family and get back to it the next day! If you need help with this, shoot me a message! 🍰 SOFT LEMON CAKE WITH LEMON CHEESECAKE FROSTING 🍋 By swedishketo 😋 . Macros per piece: 300 calories, 28g fat, 2,5g net carbs, 10g protein _________________________ INGREDIENTS: 10 slices CAKE: 4 eggs 1/2 cup (1 dl) erythritol  2 cups (5 dl) almond flour Zest from one lemon Juice from 1/2 lemon 1 tsp baking soda 1 pinch of fresh lemon balm (citronmeliss) 1/4 tsp salt FROSTING: 8.8 oz. (250g) cream cheese 1/2 cup (1 dl) heavy cream 2 tbsp erythritol 1 tbsp lemon juice TOPPING: Lemon slices  Lemon zest  Fresh lemon balm ___________________________ INSTRUCTIONS: 1.Set oven on 300°F/150°C 2.Mix almond flour, baking soda, lemon zest, chopped lemon balm and salt in a bowl. 3.Mix eggs and erythritol with an electrical mixer in a separate bowl until they become white and fluffy. I do 12 minutes. This is the most important step because the fluffier eggs the more moist the bread gets. 4. Add lemon juice to the eggs and mix for another minute 5.Fold in the dry ingredients in the eggs. Very important to fold and not mix because you want to keep as much air as possible in the eggs. 6.Pour the mix in a bread pan covered in a baking sheet. Bake for 35-40 min. 7.Put in the fridge or freezer to let it cool before adding frosting.  8.Add the ingredients for the frosting in a bowl. Mix with an electrical mixer until it becomes a thick cream. Put in the fridge while waiting for the cake to cool. Then cover the top of the cake with a thick layer of frosting and decorate with the toppings. Store in the fridge until it’s time to serve! 🥳😋

Nutrition- switching from processed/junk food to whole nutritious food is a great start, but once we start fuelling our body we want to make sure we are not eating in a surplus of calories daily or on average in the week. It will make it much more difficult to lower your body fat percentage when in a surplus. . Training- track each of your workouts, and progressively overload. Hit all muscles twice a week minimum to achieve serious growth. Form matters in each workout, weak form equals weak gains. Make sure the correct muscle groups are working!💪🏼🔥 . ALL I THOUGHT ABOUT WAS FOOD. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I would go to bed “excited” about eating breakfast in the morning not because I was making anything really special, but because I was so deprived. 🤪 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ One of my favorite pastimes was “meal planning,” aka moving around foods & meals so they’d fit perfectly in my calories/macros. 📱 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It made me feel safe. Everything was in my control. When everything went according to plan and I didn’t “mess up,” I felt GREAT. 🙅🏼‍♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But I was terrified of the unexpected. 😰 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Food thoughts distracted me from being present in my life. 🍪🍎🍕 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When unexpected food events DID happen, I’d be so preoccupied making sure everything fit in my calories that I couldn’t be present with the people around me. 🥺 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today, I only think about food when I’m getting hungry or at the grocery store. If you’re currently struggling with constant food thoughts that you just can’t make go away, I promise you it IS POSSIBLE. ❣️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You just have to COMMIT to fully embracing food freedom. You have to stick it out through the tough reactions that may happen (both mental and physical). 💪🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My 2 biggest tips to begin silencing those food thoughts: 👏🏼If you’re thinking about the food, EAT THE FOOD. 👏🏼If you’re stressed about what the food might do to your body, EAT. THE. FOOD. and then celebrate the heck out of yourself for conquering food fears instead of feeling guilty 💛💛

When it comes to weight loss ⁣ ⁣ One of the biggest problems people have is impatience 😥⁣ ⁣ Even when people are getting results and doing well 😁⁣ ⁣ They can get side tracked by shiny objects that promote and promise impossible results 🙈⁣ ⁣ So, the person veers off track from what they were doing and eventually end up back to square one wondering why weight loss is so difficult 😭⁣ ⁣ I'm going to let you in on a little secret 😉⁣ ⁣ Weight loss is difficult because your an impatient asshole who keeps looking for the quick fix 😱⁣ ⁣ Yep, I said it 😳⁣ ⁣ You are the problem 😨⁣ ⁣ You'd rather do all the shit diets going than stick to something that works for longer than 4 weeks 😫⁣ ⁣ And until you own up to this, you will keep putting the stick in your bike wheels and will keep complaining about why you can never lose weight 😖⁣ ⁣ You can also add in drinking every weekend and eating junk at every chance you get onto that list too 😁⁣ #sorrynotsorry

Just me & my travel backpack...🎒(full of snacks 😍) ⁣ ⁣ Whenever I travel & show my vacation eats I get a lot of questions from you about how I navigate food & travel...so hopefully I can help you going into holiday traveling with some of my travel tips. ⁣ ⁣ 🧳 PACK PROTEIN. The hardest thing to hit when your traveling is your protein. I always bring protein bars, turkey jerky, individual protein packs, or nuts. I’ll usually eat something like this for breakfast because it’s more likely other meals will be eaten out. I take these snacks with me so I don’t get hangry. 😉⁣ ⁣ 🧳 BRING A WATER BOTTLE. Why is it so much harder to drink water on vacation? I do so much better when I have my bottle with me. Even if I buy water bottles I pour them into my hydroflask to keep it cold. ⁣ ⁣ 🧳 CHOOSE YOUR SPLURGES. Here is the thing...I travel a lot, so if every trip was straight splurges I’d be in trouble. If you vacation once a year, that’s different. But if you’re always on vacation mode, you may want to make some of your meals healthier choices. ⁣ ⁣ 🧳SHARE. If you want to try all the things, do it. Just share with your people. Then you get to try all the things without feeling overloaded. ⁣ ⁣ 🧳 WORKOUT. This isn’t food related, but I ALWAYS feel better digestion-wise if I workout. I make better food choices, & I know my body appreciates it. ⁣ ⁣ 🧳 ENJOY & THEN GET BACK ON TRACK. If a vacation to you is not worrying for a second about what you’re eating, great...just get right back on track when you’re off vacation. Don’t let vacation mode become your norm. ⁣ ⁣ Personally, I FEEL best when I keep some of my norm & add some of the fun stuff into it! I LOVE to try new fun things.
