. 🇨🇱tips para ejercer mayor activación en un grupo muscular dependiendo de cual sea nuestro objetivo. - ☝️Según como realicemos este ejercicio podremos hacer un patrón más dominante de cadera (donde trabajan más los glúteos) o de rodilla (donde trabajan más los cuádriceps). También es importante tener en cuenta otros aspectos que no he mencionado como la separación de las piernas (mayor separación, mayor trabajo de glúteos) y carga con la que hagamos las series. - 🤚ADVERTENCIA: Mantén la rodilla siempre alineada con tu cadera y tobillo de esta forma evitaremos cualquier inconveniente en la rodilla (valgo). Otra cosa muy importante es que al momento de bajar la rodilla no golpee en el suelo, ya que de esta forma evitarás problemas de meniscos y ligamentos. Para terminar quiero comentarte que el adelantamiento de la rodilla por la punta del pie dependerá del grado de dorsiflexión (movilidad) de tobillo que la persona posea. Technique to perform: . 🔷1 Lie face down on a hyperextension bench, tucking your ankles securely under the footpads. . 🔷2 Adjust the upper pad if possible so your upper thighs lie flat across the wide pad, leaving enough room for you to bend at the waist without any restriction. . 🔷3 With your body straight cross your arms in front of you (my preference) or behind your head. This will be your starting position. Tip: You can also hold a weight plate for extra resistance in front of you under your crossed arms. . 🔷4 Start bending forward slowly at the waist as far as you can while keeping your back flat. Inhale as you perform this movement. Keep moving forward until you feel a nice stretch on the hamstrings and you can no longer keep going without a rounding of the back. . 🔷5 Slowly raise your torso back to the initial position as you inhale. . Perform 3 sets 12-15 reps . My recent, and overdue dental appointment got me thinking.. how often do you 'adult'? ⁣ ⁣ Those dreaded but necessary appointments.. such as general health & wellbeing check ups, optometrist appointments, dental appointments. Recently my main goal has been getting as strong as possible without gaining any significant “bad” weight (more than 5-10lbs of fat) • • Now this isn’t super heavy for most grown men that lift, and it’s not even the heaviest weight I’ve benched. When I was 20 I could bench 225 for 12 and get 275. But I was also 195 lbs; 18% body fat • • At 24 I’m currently around 176 lbs, 13ish % body fat. This (260lbs) feels really good for me. I know I could easily get stronger if I gained more weight and ate more but I’m not into that. • • About a year or so ago I created a list of physical accomplishments I’d like to achieve within the next 2-4 years. • • One of those was to bench 315 lbs. As well as completing a marathon, running a 4.5 second 40 yard dash, competing in a tough mudder/spartan race, and running a mile in under 6 minutes. • • So far I only have one box checked off. (Sub 6min Mile) • • 315 honestly was like a wish when I wrote it done. I figured there’s no way I’ll ever be able to do it. Only 55 more lbs to go lol. As we had into 2020 I’m gonna make it a goal to move 315. • • What goal will you be crushing in 2020? Leave a comment and let me know!! Let’s support each other in getting there. Last night was leg day so did a quick simple workout 🏋️‍♀️. The biggest thing I’ve learned while working out pregnant is just to listen to my body. I’ve decreased the weight substantially, I take a longer breaks between sets when needed, & just remind myself to breathe. I’ve also eliminated hip thrusts completely while pregnant. Just a personal preference. Anyway here’s a simple but effective leg day workout 1. Deadlifts 2. Squats 3. Hip abductor machine (not recorded) 4. Leg press machine 5. Leg extension machine 6. Calf extension machine Each exercise I did 4 sets of between 10 - 15 reps. Wearing madessentials leggings (size medium), madessentials sports bra (size small), & buffbunny_collection top (size small)
